Confession of Faith

XIII.  We believe that all that is necessary for our salvation was offered and communicated to us in Jesus Christ.  He is given to us for our salvation, and ' is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption :' so that if we refuse him, we renounce the mercy of the Father, in which alone we can find a refuge.        

13. Nous croyons qu'en icelui Jésus-Christ tout ce qui était requis notre salut nous a été offert et communiqué. Lequel nous étant donné salut, nous a été quant et quant fait sapience, justice, sanctification et rédemption (1 Co 1.30; Ep 1.7; Col 1.13-14; 1 Tm 1.15; Tt 2.14), en sorte qu'en déclinant de lui, on renonce la miséricorde du Père, o il nous convient avoir notre refuge unique (Jn 3-18; 1 Jn 2.23).

Since, however, we ourselves cannot give this satisfaction or deliver ourselves from God’s anger, God in his boundless mercy has given us as a guarantee his only begotten Son, who was made to be sin and a curse for us , in our place, on the cross, in order that he might give satisfaction for us.
